The central design philosophy for the Jacob Residence was to create a sprawling, stately family estate that transports the elegance of Mediterranean-revival architecture with the tropical sensibilities required for Palakkad. The vision for the Jacob Residence is to craft a tranquil sanctuary that feels simultaneously exclusive and connected to nature. By transporting the warmth of Mediterranean architecture—characterized by terracotta roof tiles and sweeping colonnades—into the verdant landscape of Palakkad, the design creates a unique synthesis of two distinct architectural worlds.
The bungalow's geometry is defined by a balanced asymmetry. We utilized strong, varied rooflines providing excellent thermal insulation.
