Mini Vidhana Soudha located in Bagalkot, Karnataka, designed for the Karnataka Housing Board. The project aims to translate the iconic grandeur of the original Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru into a contextualized, regional civic landmark. While maintaining the imposing Neo-Dravidian form and the symbolic “legislative sovereignty” of the original structure, this design replaces the original “Bangalore granite” with locally sourced Bagalkot stone. This adaptation not only roots the building firmly in its geographic location but also responds to the specific dry, hot climate of the Deccan plateau.
